Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian actress and singer born on November 25, 1968, in Edmonton, Alberta. She gained recognition for her roles on the American television series Law & Order, portraying prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, where she starred as the lead character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. Hennessy has also appeared in films including RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted, as well as independent films like Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, which she also wrote and co-directed. Raised partly by her paternal grandmother in Kitchener, Ontario, Hennessy has a younger brother and an identical twin sister who is a magazine writer.
