Jim Boeke Biography
James Frederick Boeke (September 11, 1938 – September 26, 2014) was an American football offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, and New Orleans Saints. Boeke played college football at Heidelberg College and was a two-way tackle, also lettering in track. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 19th round of the 1960 NFL Draft and later traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 1964. Boeke's NFL career spanned from 1960 to 1966, during which he played both offensive and defensive tackle positions. He was inducted into the Heidelberg University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
