    Jim Brochu Biography
    Jim Brochu (born August 16, 1946) is an American actor, writer, director, and playwright. He studied at Carnegie-Mellon University and received his B.A. from St. Francis College. Brochu made his stage debut in a production of William Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. As a friend of Lucille Ball, he authored the unauthorized biography Lucy in the Afternoon and appeared on an episode of MythBusters. He co-wrote the musical The Big Voice: God or Merman with Steve Schalchlin. Brochu wrote and starred in Zero Hour, an Off-Broadway one-person play about the life of actor Zero Mostel, for which he won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. He is the only actor to win the New York Drama Desk Award, the Washington, DC Helen Hayes Award, the Los Angeles Ovation Award, and the South Florida Carbonell Award as Best Actor.
