James Edward Kelly, born February 14, 1960, is an American former football quarterback known for his time in the NFL. He played 11 seasons with the Buffalo Bills and 2 seasons with the Houston Gamblers in the USFL. Kelly played college football at the University of Miami, where he was the Offensive MVP of the 1981 Peach Bowl. He was selected 14th overall by the Bills in the 1983 NFL Draft but chose to sign with the Gamblers initially. Kelly eventually joined the Bills in 1986 and led the team's high-scoring offense, known as the 'K-Gun.' He guided the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls from 1990 to 1993. Kelly was named to five Pro Bowls and received first-team All-Pro honors in 1991.
