Jim Mallon Biography
James Joseph Mallon (born March 19, 1956) is an American television and film producer and writer. He is best known as the executive producer of the Peabody Award-winning series Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). Mallon is also the president of the series' original production company, Best Brains, Inc. He directed over 75 episodes of MST3K and portrayed the character Gypsy from the first season until Jack Frost in the middle of the eighth season. Mallon started producing television and comedy movies in high school and continued while attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also produced and directed programs for CBS and PBS affiliates. In 1987, Mallon made his feature film debut with Blood Hook, distributed worldwide by Troma, Inc.
