Jimmy Carr

James Anthony Patrick Carr, born on September 15, 1972, in Hounslow, London, is a British-Irish comedian, presenter, writer, and actor. Known for his deadpan delivery of controversial one-liners and his distinctive laugh, Carr began his comedy career in 1997. He has become a familiar face on television as the host of Channel 4 panel shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year. Carr's parents, Nora Mary and Patrick James Carr, were Irish immigrants. He spent his early life in Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, attending Farnham Common School and Burnham Grammar.
