Jimmy Smagula

James Paul Smagula is an American actor known for his work in television series such as The Sopranos, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Parks and Recreation, and Rizzoli & Isles. He has also appeared in films such as The Island and The Producers. Smagula grew up in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, and graduated from Lyndhurst High School in 1993. He began his professional acting career at age 20 in the Papermill Playhouse production of Man of La Mancha. Smagula earned a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1997. He has a background in music, playing piano, trumpet, and clarinet, and has performed alongside artists such as Whitney Houston and Gloria Estefan during his time with the City Kids Repertory company in New York City.
