Jo Hartley is an English actress born on March 12, 1972, in Oldham, Lancashire. She has made appearances in various films such as The Young Victoria, Eddie the Eagle, Slaughterhouse Rulez, and Torvill & Dean. Hartley has also been seen in British television series including This is England, Not Safe For Work, After Life, Bliss, In My Skin, Sweetheart (2021), and Bank of Dave (2023). Growing up in a working-class family, she attended North Chadderton School in Chadderton, Greater Manchester. Hartley began acting at a young age, joining Oldham Theatre Workshop and later working at British Aerospace (BAe) before transitioning to a career as a flight attendant for Japan Airlines. In her mid-twenties, she returned to acting and has since established herself as a talented actress.
