She gained recognition for her performances as Alice in the television drama Torn in 2007 and as Liza-Lu Durbeyfield in the television series Tess of the d'Urbervilles in 2008. Woodcock's notable film credits include her role as Celia Radley in the 2009 film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. She started her acting career at the age of 12, appearing in the British crime drama Hero of the Hour.
