Joan Baez

Joan Chandos Baez (born January 9, 1941) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and activist. With a career spanning over 60 years, Baez is known for her contemporary folk music that often includes songs of protest and social justice. She has released more than 30 albums and is fluent in Spanish and English, having recorded songs in at least six other languages. Baez's music has diversified over the years, incorporating genres such as folk rock, pop, country, and gospel.
