Joan Lunden Biography
Joan Lunden (born Joan Elise Blunden, September 19, 1950) is an American journalist, author, and television host. She is best known for her role as the co-host of ABC's Good Morning America from 1980 to 1997. With over ten books to her name, Lunden has also established herself as an author. She has made notable appearances on the Biography program and Biography Channel, as well as serving as a special correspondent for NBC's Today. In 2021, Lunden became the host of the public television program Second Opinion. Born in Sacramento County, California, she earned a Liberal Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento, and later studied Spanish and anthropology in Mexico City. Lunden began her broadcasting career at KCRA-TV in Sacramento.
