Jocelyn Bioh

Jocelyn Bioh is a Ghanaian-American writer, playwright, and actor. Born and raised in New York City, she is of Ghanaian-American descent. She graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in English and earned her master's degree in Playwriting from Columbia University. Jocelyn has appeared on Broadway in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and has performed in various regional and off-Broadway productions, including An Octoroon, Bootycandy, and For Colored Girls. She is also a prolific playwright, with her works such as Nollywood Dreams and School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play being produced in national and collegiate theaters. Jocelyn is affiliated with esteemed theater organizations like Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC) and Atlantic Theater Company and serves as a resident playwright at Lincoln Center. She is also a writer for the Hulu show Tiny Beautiful Things.
