Jocko Willink
Jocko Willink, born John Gretton Willink Jr. on September 8, 1971, is an American author, podcaster, and retired United States Navy officer. He served in the Navy SEALs and was a member of SEAL Team 3, where he commanded Task Unit Bruiser during the Iraq War. Willink's leadership in the battle against Iraqi insurgents in Ramadi earned him the Silver Star and Bronze Star Medal. He achieved the rank of lieutenant commander before retiring from the military. Willink co-authored the books 'Extreme Ownership' and 'The Dichotomy of Leadership' and co-founded the management consulting firm Echelon Front, LLC. He hosts the Jocko Podcast and holds a B.A. in English from the University of San Diego.
