Joseph Francis Buck is an American sportscaster known for his work as a play-by-play announcer. Born on April 25, 1969, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Buck is the son of renowned sportscaster Jack Buck. He started his broadcasting career in 1989 while studying at Indiana University Bloomington. From 1994 to 2022, Buck worked at Fox Sports, serving as the lead play-by-play announcer for their NFL and MLB coverage. He also called the World Series for 25 years, with the exception of 1997 and 1999. In 2022, Buck joined ESPN and currently serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football. He is highly regarded for his expertise and contribution to sports broadcasting.
