Joe Lala Biography
Joe Lala (November 3, 1947 – March 18, 2014) was an American musician and actor. He co-founded the rock band Blues Image in 1966. Born in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida, Lala was raised by his single mother. With a passion for music from an early age, he started out playing the drums in various Florida bands before forming Blues Image. Lala was also a talented vocalist, notably singing lead on the song 'Leaving My Troubles Behind.' Throughout his career, he worked as a drummer and percussionist with renowned artists such as The Byrds, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Bee Gees, and many others.
