Joe Pera

Joseph Pera, born c. 1988/1989, is an American comedian, writer, and actor. He gained recognition as the creator and star of Adult Swim's Joe Pera Talks with You, which developed from the success of his 2016 specials Joe Pera Talks You to Sleep. Pera was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and studied film at Ithaca College, where he won the college's stand-up competition three times. After graduating in 2010, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in comedy. Pera's slow and grandfatherly delivery, coupled with his fondness for sweaters, has become his signature style. He has also appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and created the Adult Swim Infomercial Joe Pera Talks You to Sleep and Joe Pera Helps You Find the Perfect Christmas Tree.
