Joe Seneca Biography
Joe Seneca (January 14, 1919 – August 15, 1996) was an American actor, singer, and songwriter. Born Joel McGhee Jr. in Cleveland, Ohio, he started his career as a member of the R&B singing group The Three Riffs. As an actor, Seneca appeared in films such as Crossroads (1986) as Willie Brown, The Blob (1988) as Dr. Meadows, and The Cosby Show as Dr. Hanes. He also had success as a songwriter, with hits like 'Talk to Me' and 'Break It to Me Gently.' Seneca's notable role came in The Verdict (1982), where he played Dr. Thompson, a physician supporting an attorney's case. He is remembered for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
