Joe Seneca (January 14, 1919 – August 15, 1996) was an American actor, singer, and songwriter. Born Joel McGhee Jr. in Cleveland, Ohio, he started his career as a member of the R&B singing group The Three Riffs. As an actor, Seneca appeared in films such as Crossroads (1986) as Willie Brown, The Blob (1988) as Dr. Meadows, and The Cosby Show as Dr. Hanes.
