Joe Taslim

Joe Taslim is an Indonesian martial artist and actor. Born on June 23, 1981, in Palembang, Indonesia, Taslim has achieved success both in the field of martial arts and film acting. He was a member of Indonesia's national judo team from 1997 to 2009 and has won multiple medals at the Southeast Asian Games and Pekan Olahraga Nasional. Taslim's notable film roles include Sergeant Jaka in The Raid (2011), Jah in Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Manas in Star Trek Beyond (2016), and Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat (2021). He also stars as Li Yong in the television series Warrior. Taslim is of Chinese descent and has trained in various martial arts disciplines such as judo, taekwondo, pencak silat, and wushu.
