Joe Unger Biography
Joe Unger (born May 25, 1949) is an American actor known for his roles in films and on television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Sgt. Garcia in Wes Craven's 1984 horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street and as Tinker in Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990). Unger was born and raised in Lake County, Tennessee. He made his debut in the 1978 movie Go Tell the Spartans and has since appeared in various films including Escape from New York (1981), Mask (1985), Barfly (1987), Road House (1989), and Total Recall (1990). Unger has also made notable guest appearances on TV shows such as The A-Team, Alice, Airwolf, Cagney & Lacey, The Pretender, and Carnivàle. He provided the voice of Joe the Vampire Hunter on the Adult Swim series Mary Shelley's Frankenhole.
