    Joel Higgins Biography
    Joel Higgins (born September 28, 1943) is an American actor and singer known for his stage career spanning over 40 years. He initially performed in coffeehouses to support his studies at Michigan State University, where he graduated with a degree in advertising. After working briefly for General Motors, Higgins traveled to Europe to perform. In 1968, he joined the United States Army and served as the Special Services Sergeant in charge of Entertainment at Camp Casey in Korea. Following his Army service, Higgins co-wrote a musical revue called The Green Apple Nasties and sold it to a producer. He then embarked on a two and a half year tour. Higgins gained recognition when he was cast as Sky Masterson in a regional theater production of Guys and Dolls in Louisville, Kentucky.
