Joelle Carter

Joelle Marie Carter (born October 10, 1972) is an American actress known for her roles in television shows and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Ava Crowder in the FX series Justified and Laura Nagel in the NBC show Chicago Justice. Carter was born in Thomasville, Georgia, and grew up in a military family, moving frequently throughout the United States. She attended high school in Albany, Georgia, and later pursued acting at the William Esper Studio. Carter initially began her career as a model in New York before transitioning to acting in Los Angeles. Her notable film appearances include High Fidelity, Inconceivable, Cold Storage, and American Pie 2. From 2010 to 2015, she starred in the series Justified.
