Joey Lauren Adams is an American actress and director, born on January 9, 1968. She gained recognition for her role as Simone in Richard Linklater's 'Dazed and Confused' (1993) and as one of Connie Conehead's friends in the film 'Coneheads' (1993). Adams also appeared in Kevin Smith's films, including 'Mallrats' (1995) and 'Chasing Amy' (1997), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. She began her film career in 1977 with a small role in 'Exorcist II: The Heretic' and went on to star in other Kevin Smith View Askewniverse films. Adams has also appeared on television shows like 'Married... with Children' and its spinoff 'Top of the Heap'.
