Joey Sagal Biography
Joseph B. Sagal, born on February 12, 1957, is an American actor and screenwriter. He is best known for originating the role of 'The Visitor' in the World Premiere Steppenwolf Production of Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile, where he performed for 357 shows. Sagal also portrayed the DC Comics villain, Gunn, in the movie 'Return of the Swampthing'. He is credited for writing the screenplay, acting in, and executive producing the film 'Elvis & Nixon', which was the first film officially acquired by Amazon. Sagal's passion for Elvis Presley, sparked by meeting him on the set of his father's film 'Girl Happy', inspired him to play the role of Elvis 'The Visitor' in 'Picasso at the Lapin Agile' and write the screenplay for 'Elvis & Nixon'. He also played Elvis in the mini-series 'Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King'.
