Johann Hari
Johann Eduard Hari (born January 21, 1979) is a British-Swiss writer and journalist known for his contributions to The Independent and The Huffington Post. In 2011, Hari faced suspension and later resigned from The Independent after admitting to plagiarism and fabrications dating back to 2001. He also faced criticism for making malicious edits to the Wikipedia pages of journalists who had criticized him. Despite these controversies, Hari has written several books exploring topics such as depression, the war on drugs, and the impact of technology on attention spans. Some of his work has been criticized for poorly evidenced claims and bad citational practices. Hari was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and raised in London. He attended The John Lyon School and Woodhouse College before embarking on his career.
