John Belushi Biography
John Belushi (January 24, 1949 – March 5, 1982) was an American comedian, actor, and musician. He gained prominence as one of the original cast members of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL). Belushi had a successful partnership with fellow SNL star Dan Aykroyd. Born in Chicago to Albanian-American parents, Belushi started his own comedy troupe and later joined The Second City. He was recommended to SNL creator Lorne Michaels by Chevy Chase and Michael O'Donoghue, leading to his role on the show. Belushi's memorable performances on SNL included his portrayals of Henry Kissinger and Ludwig van Beethoven.
