John Beradino
John Beradino
John Beradino (1917-1996) was an American Major League Baseball infielder and actor. Born Giovanni Berardino in Los Angeles, he attended Belmont High School before earning a football scholarship to the University of Southern California. However, he ultimately pursued a career in baseball. From 1939 to 1952, Beradino played in the major leagues, except for a three-year military service in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Following his baseball career, Beradino transitioned to acting and was credited under various names. While there are claims that he appeared in silent films as a child actor, this has not been confirmed. Beradino's acting career spanned several decades, and he is best known for his role as Dr. Steve Hardy on the soap opera 'General Hospital.'
