    John Bishop Biography
    John Marcus Bishop (born 30 November 1966) is an English comedian, presenter, actor, and former footballer. He played as a midfielder for several football clubs including Winsford United F.C., Crewe Alexandra F.C., and Southport F.C., among others. Bishop made his television debut in 2007 on the RTÉ show The Panel and went on to appear in seasons 3 and 4 of the E4 drama Skins and the film Route Irish directed by Ken Loach. He has hosted various shows such as John Bishop's Britain, John Bishop's Only Joking, and The John Bishop Show. From 2021 to 2022, Bishop portrayed the character Dan Lewis in the television series Doctor Who. Bishop is also recognized for his charity work.
