John Boyega, born John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega on March 17, 1992, is a British actor and producer. He gained recognition in the UK for his role as a teenage gang leader in the comedy horror film Attack the Block (2011). Boyega's breakthrough came with his portrayal of Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, including The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017), and The Rise of Skywalker (2019). He was honored with the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2016 and the Trophée Chopard at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
