John Bunnell Biography
John Edwin Bunnell is a former American sheriff of Multnomah County, Oregon. Born on May 25, 1944, in Pendleton, Oregon, Bunnell joined the Multnomah County Sheriff's Department in January 1969 after obtaining a degree in social sciences. He served as the sheriff from November 1994 to May 1995, having been appointed after the retirement of the previous sheriff. Bunnell is widely recognized for hosting World's Wildest Police Videos from 1998 to 2001 and its brief revival in 2012. Additionally, he appeared in several episodes of COPS and American Detective in the late 1980s and early 1990s, respectively. Sheriff John Bunnell ran for re-election in 1995 but was unsuccessful in his bid against Dan Noelle.
