John Carrafa Biography
John Carrafa is an American theater and film director/choreographer. He is best known for his work as the two-time Tony Award nominated choreographer of the Broadway musicals Urinetown and Into The Woods. He has also received the Media Choreography Honors Award for his work on the Robert Zemeckis film The Polar Express. Before his career as a choreographer and director, Carrafa was a dancer and assistant to Twyla Tharp. His notable Broadway credits include Love! Valour! Compassion!, Dirty Blonde, A Little Night Music, Dance of the Vampires, and Good Vibrations. In addition to his theater work, Carrafa has worked on films such as The Last Days of Disco, The Thomas Crown Affair, and Who's The Top?. Carrafa currently resides in both New York City and Los Angeles, California.
