John Castle Biography
John Michael Frederick Castle (born 14 January 1940) is an English actor known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for his roles as Bill in Michelangelo Antonioni's Blowup (1966) and Geoffrey in The Lion in Winter (1968). Castle's other significant credits include Man of La Mancha (1972) and RoboCop 3 (1993). Born in Croydon, Castle was educated at Brighton College and Trinity College, Dublin. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). Castle made his stage debut in 1964 and his screen debut in Blowup. He has had a successful career in both theater and film.
