John Hoogenakker is an American actor known for his work in stage, screen, and commercials. He has appeared in numerous plays in the Chicago and Milwaukee area. Hoogenakker gained recognition for his role as the Bud Light King in Bud Light's Dilly Dilly television commercials. On television, he has portrayed characters such as Lt. Spellman in NBC's Chicago Fire, Matice in Prime Video's Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Carl Wilkes in Castle Rock, and Randy Ramseyer in Hulu's Dopesick. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hoogenakker attended South Mecklenburg High School and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from DePaul University. His career started in 1999 with a role in the Shakespeare play Antony and Cleopatra at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
