John Kapelos

John Kapelos (born March 8, 1956) is a Canadian actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He hails from London, Ontario and gained recognition for his portrayal of janitor Carl Reed in the iconic film The Breakfast Club. He also made an impact as Detective Donald Schanke in the television series Forever Knight. Kapelos is an alumnus of The Second City in Chicago and has an extensive background in theater, including touring with the Second City's Touring Company and being a member of the Resident Company. In addition to his notable appearances in John Hughes films like Sixteen Candles and Weird Science, he has been praised for his performances in movies such as The Deep End of the Ocean and Roxanne.
