John M. Jackson Biography
John Murice Jackson (born June 1, 1950) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Rear Admiral A. J. Chegwidden on the CBS series JAG, as well as his appearances as a special guest star on its spinoff NCIS and as a recurring cast member on NCIS: Los Angeles. Jackson was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He played football and basketball in high school and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Before pursuing acting full-time, Jackson taught social studies at LBJ High School in Austin. He began his acting career in his late 20s and moved to New York City and then Hollywood to further his career.
