John Mariano

John Mariano is an American actor born on August 5, 1960. He has worked in film, television, animation, and nightclubs. Known for his comedic portrayals of tough guys, Mariano's physical comedy skills have been compared to those of Jerry Lewis and Buster Keaton. His career began with a role as a bank teller in the film Tough Guys, starring Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. Mariano gained recognition for his role as Johnny the waiter in Caroline in the City alongside Lea Thompson. He is also a talented improviser, sketch player, and voice-over artist. Notably, his impression of Robert De Niro in a sketch at The Groundlings led to his portrayal of Bobby, a pigeon character in Animaniacs, inspired by De Niro's role in Goodfellas.
