John Milford Biography
John Milford (September 7, 1927 - August 14, 2000) was an American actor known for his roles in theater, television, and films. With an estimated 500 appearances in TV roles, Milford played numerous characters, often portraying western villains. Born in Johnstown, New York, he initially studied civil engineering at Union College but decided to pursue acting. Milford began his television career in the 1940s on What's My Name? before making his film debut in Marty in 1955. He went on to appear in various western TV shows, including Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Virginian. From 1959 to 1960, Milford played Ike Clanton on The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp. He passed away in 2000, leaving behind a significant contribution to the entertainment industry.
