John Philbin

John Philbin (born April 27, 1960) is an American actor known for his roles in popular films such as North Shore, Return of the Living Dead, Point Break, and Tombstone. Philbin's passion for surfing began at a young age, and he even represented the University of California, Santa Barbara on their surf team while studying acting. He has showcased his surfing skills in movies like Point Break, The Boost, and North Shore. Additionally, Philbin has worked as a surf trainer for actors, notably providing surf instruction for the cast of the film Blue Crush. In 2015, Philbin faced legal trouble after brandishing a loaded gun to his girlfriend, resulting in a misdemeanor weapons charge and a subsequent sentence of 30 days in county jail, along with probation and mandated programs.
