John Rocker
John Loy Rocker (born October 17, 1974) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher who played six seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his major league debut in 1998 with the Atlanta Braves, playing for them for four seasons. Rocker also had brief stints with the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. After retiring from baseball, Rocker appeared on Survivor: San Juan del Sur alongside his girlfriend Julie McGee. In high school, he was a standout pitcher for First Presbyterian Day School in Macon, Georgia, where he threw three no-hitters. Rocker's career was marked by controversy due to his controversial statements in a 1999 Sports Illustrated interview and subsequent incidents.
