John Sparkes Biography
John Sparkes (born 6 January 1954) is a Welsh actor and comedian. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Barry Welsh in the HTV Wales series Barry Welsh Is Coming. Sparkes has had major roles in various television shows including Naked Video, Absolutely, Fireman Sam, Shaun the Sheep, and Jeff Global's Global Probe. He is also known as the narrator of the popular children's television show Peppa Pig. Sparkes began his career as an English teacher, but later transitioned to comedy and became a prominent performer in London's alternative cabaret circuit. He starred as Siadwel in the sketch show Naked Video and was part of the BBC Radio 4 comedy programme Bodgers, Banks & Sparkes.
