John Travolta

John Joseph Travolta (born February 18, 1954) is an American actor known for his prominent roles in the 1970s and his successful resurgence in the 1990s. He gained recognition through his appearance on the television sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter (1975–1979) and starred in box office hits such as Carrie (1976), Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978), and Urban Cowboy (1980). Although his career declined in the 1980s, he made a comeback with his role in Pulp Fiction (1994) and went on to star in successful films like Get Shorty (1995), Broken Arrow (1996), and Hairspray (2007). Travolta has been nominated for multiple awards, including two Academy Awards and has won a Golden Globe Award.
