John Vargas Biography
John Vargas is an American actor known for his roles in films such as Primary Colors and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. He was born in the Bronx and later moved to Puerto Rico after his father was killed in Laos during the Vietnam War. Vargas attended Carnegie Mellon University, where he became the first Puerto Rican to graduate from its Drama Department. After graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles. Vargas appeared in Neil Simon's film Only When I Laugh and later had a role in the iconic Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. He also starred in the ABC sitcom At Ease, making him one of the first Latino actors to lead an American television sitcom.
