John Voldstad

John Ole Voldstad is an American television and film actor, born on February 20, 1951, in Oslo, Norway. He is best known for his role as one of the brothers Darryl on the TV show Newhart, where he played 'my other brother Darryl' with curlier, lighter-colored hair. Voldstad moved to the United States with his mother when he was 10 months old. He began acting at the age of 8 and studied acting in London after graduating from Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, California. Voldstad has appeared in various films, including Switchblade Sisters, Stripes, The Blue and the Gray, Leprechaun, and Open Range.
