Johnny Carr

John W. Carr (January 1, 1887 – death date unknown) was an American Negro league first baseman who played for the Dayton Marcos in 1918 and 1920. Originally from Kentucky, Carr had a brief career consisting of three recorded games, during which he had no hits and received one walk in seven plate appearances. He played during a time when African American baseball players faced significant discrimination and limited opportunities in professional leagues. Carr's contributions to the sport are recognized in the historical records of the Negro leagues, where he has left a small but noteworthy mark.
