Johnny Depp

John Christopher Depp II, born June 9, 1963, is an American actor and musician. He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Depp started his career as a musician and later transitioned into acting after being encouraged by actor Nicolas Cage. He made his feature film debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and gained recognition as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). In the 1990s, Depp appeared in a string of independent films, often portraying eccentric characters. Some of his notable works include What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), Donnie Brasco (1997), and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).
