Johnny Melville

Johnny Melville (born 27 January 1948) is a Scottish clown, actor, and mime. He is known for being part of the group of artists who revolutionized the world of clowning in Europe in the 1970s. Alongside names like Jango Edwards and Nola Rae, Melville performed in the historic Friends Roadshow in Amsterdam. Throughout his career, he has worked as a clown, mime, trainer, and actor in alternative filmmaking. Melville started his professional career in 1972, collaborating with notable figures in the British theatre scene such as David Aukin and John Bolton. He has performed at various European festivals and toured in countries like Germany, Holland, Austria, Denmark, France, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Russia, and Canada.
