Johnny Olson (1910-1985) was an American radio personality and television announcer. He gained popularity as an announcer for game shows produced by Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions. Olson is best known for his work as the announcer for the original To Tell the Truth, What's My Line?, Match Game, and The Price Is Right. Born in Windom, Minnesota, Olson was the youngest of ten children. He attended the University of Minnesota for pharmacy classes but pursued a career in broadcasting instead. Olson began his career at WIBA in Wisconsin and KGDA in South Dakota before joining WTMJ in Milwaukee. He eventually formed a jazz band, The Rhythm Rascals, which gained popularity in Hollywood.
