Jon Gries Biography
Jonathan Gries (born June 17, 1957) is an American actor, writer, and director. He gained recognition for his role as Uncle Rico in the cult classic film Napoleon Dynamite, earning a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male. Gries also portrayed the recurring character Roger Linus on the hit TV show Lost. With a career spanning several decades, he has appeared in numerous notable projects including Martin, The Pretender, The Monster Squad, Running Scared, Real Genius, Dream Corp LLC, Get Shorty, and The White Lotus. Gries is the son of writer, director, and producer Tom Gries and began his acting career at the age of 11. He is known for his versatile performances and has played memorable characters in various genres, including werewolves in multiple productions.
