Jon Polito (December 29, 1950 – September 1, 2016) was an American character actor known for his extensive film and television career spanning 35 years. With over 220 credits, he appeared in notable television roles such as Detective Steve Crosetti in the first two seasons of Homicide: Life on the Street and Phil Bartoli in the first season of Crime Story. Polito also made appearances in various films including The Rocketeer, The Crow, and Gangster Squad. He worked alongside the Coen brothers in five of their films, including Miller's Crossing and The Big Lebowski. In Tim Burton's 2014 film Big Eyes, Polito portrayed legendary nightclub impresario Enrico Banducci.
