Jon Stewart (born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz; November 28, 1962) is an American comedian, writer, producer, director, political commentator, actor, and television host. He gained fame as the host of The Daily Show, a satirical news program on Comedy Central, which he hosted from 1999 to 2015. Currently, he hosts The Problem with Jon Stewart (2021–present) on Apple TV+. Stewart started his career as a stand-up comedian and later transitioned to television. He hosted several shows, including Short Attention Span Theater and The Jon Stewart Show on MTV. Stewart has also appeared in films such as Big Daddy (1999) and Death to Smoochy (2002). He is the recipient of numerous awards, including 22 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
