Jon Wurster

Jonathan Patrick Wurster (born October 31, 1966) is an American drummer and comedy writer. He is best known for his work as a musician with Superchunk, the Mountain Goats, and Bob Mould. Wurster has also recorded and performed live with various artists such as Jay Farrar, Ben Gibbard, Katy Perry, The New Pornographers, Rocket from the Crypt, Alejandro Escovedo, and R.E.M. Alongside his musical career, Wurster is recognized for his appearances on The Best Show with Tom Scharpling. He grew up in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, and began playing drums at the age of ten. Wurster has contributed to the music scene since the 1980s and continues to be an influential figure in the industry.
